A FOUR-STAR HOTEL WITH A SCHOOL THEME IN THE HEART OF OLD LYON
In an Art Deco building from the thirties, Collège Hotel is tucked into the center of the Old City of Lyon, a historical area with a UNESCO World Heritage label. This exceptional geographical location makes it easy to visit the touristic attractions of Lyon on foot, including Saint Jean Cathedral, the streets in paving stone in Old Lyon, the traboule alleyways, the Gallo-Roman theaters, Fourvière Basilica and the Presqu’île peninsula.
For the four-star Collège Hotel on the theme of “in remembrance of our dreams,” furnishings and decoration are based on authentic vintage items that were all found at the flea market, such as pupils’ desks, blackboards and grammar charts.
The theme is present even on the façade, where Franco-Argentinian artist Pablo Reinoso created “The Chairs at Collège Hotel”, which transforms the building into an outdoor classroom. A special terrace on the rooftop enables guests to enjoy a relaxing moment overlooking the historic Old Lyon district and the Fourvière Basilica.
ROOMS WITH A VIEW OF OLD LYON AND FOURVIERE
Over seven different levels, 40 rooms recall the hotel’s “back to school” theme.
If guests pay a visit the various floors, they’ll find a number of classrooms. Each classroom door shows the faces of studious pupils in photos from yesteryear.
Rooms from the “primary” to the “secondary” cycle offer views of the city of Lyon, Old Lyon and Fourvière Hill, and some have private balconies or terraces.
Featuring bathrooms with a walk-in shower or bathtub, the rooms highlight contrasts, with schoolbooks placed next to more contemporary elements.

Classroom, Teacher’s Room and Library are the names of the three seminar rooms at Collège Hotel and recall the singular theme of this four-star hotel.
Blackboards, desks and school chairs bring back childhood memories during studious seminars or off-beat team-building events.
